Kool Fruits Experiment

This morning we did an experiment using cool fruits lollies here is how it goes.

Equipment:
4 Kool Fruits lollies in different colours
A cup of water
a square bowl.

Method:
First we got  a bowl and 4 different coloured lollies.
Then we put one lolly in each corner of the bowl.
Next we put one cup of water over the lollies, make sure the lollies stay in their corners. Next we waited to see what would happen.

Results:
The lollies began to dissolve and the colour from the lollies made perfect squares but the colours did not cross.

WALT: Begin our narrative with a verb.

I know I am successful when:
I have used a verb to begin my sentence.

Flying through the sky like a butterfly Lesley was on an adventure. Through the trees she could see everything from above. Singing a song "Old Mac Donald had a farm E-I-E-O" and all of the girls started to sing along too. But Lesley didn't know dangerous animals heard them from below. They were mad because they were woken up by the screeching noise that they made. They started to get closer and closer to the animals sharp teeth. Suddenly a strong gust of wind came and swept Lesley and the singing girls back up into the sky where they were safe.

Hanging from the dandelion Amya began to sway. As she saw the grass sink to the bottom of the earth. They got higher and higher guided by the sun. Suddenly they started falling and falling. Woooosh! She caught grip of the dandelion. She started to fly again.

Gliding through the sky higher and higher Taylor started to get scared. Starting to fly down Taylor landed with a thump. Taylor was scared. She did not know where she was. "Help me!" she shouted. But no one was there. She started to walk. She found an old tent and an apple tree beside it. Night fell.  She slept on a cushion and dreamed of going home. The next morning her family came to rescue her "yay" she shouted.

Swaying up into the sky Savanna looked skywards. Flowing pink dresses floated up high. Three girls hanging from dandelion seeds. Open umbrellas flying about the girls heads.

The Magic Finger By Riley

For months i had been telling my self that I would never put the magic finger on anyone again - not after what happened to my teacher, Mrs Poppy. Poor old Mrs Poppy. One day we did reading. "Read a sentence" demanded Mrs Poppy. I shuddered in fear " I hate reading out loud" I thought to myself. I stood in silence. The class started to chatter. My face went red. "Quiet class" yelled Mrs Poppy. I started to feel mad. That's when she shouted the words that made me point the finger. "You stupid rascal". That's what made me do it. It was then that things change Mrs Poppy. Her hair started to turn into leaves, her arms became stiff like branches and her body was a tree trunk. Mrs Poppy had turned into a tree.

Chase's holiday in Rarotonga recount

In the holidays I went to Rarotonga. In Rarotonga I went snorkelling I saw a pufferfish and I went on a boat a glass bottom. I saw lots of fish they were circling around the boat. Next I hopped in a kayak and went to a tiny island in front of the hotel. There was an enormous crab in the bush. My favourite part of my holiday in Rarotonga was having lots of fun with my family.
